The story begins with the king's advisor in the Kingdom of Valiant trying to eliminate the priestesses and "Knights of the Underworld," who are tasked with protecting the people, under the guise of a "witch hunt." Leon, the son of a priestess and a knight, escapes with his father after his mother is sentenced to be burned at the stake. Throughout his childhood, Leon trains with his father to one day inherit the golden armor as a descendant of the Golden Knights. Meanwhile, the king of Valiant falls ill, and the advisor takes full control of the kingdom, exiling the prince and the queen, the rightful heirs to the throne. They set out to find the legendary Golden Knight Garo in order to reclaim the kingdom and save their people.
