The lieutenant aboard the interstellar spacecraft "Aratrum" was Adam, who volunteered for a mission to liberate the Earth's surface from Godzilla. Upon arrival, the landing party was attacked by the monster. After the commander's death, Haruo ordered Adam to lead the fleet along with Major Belu-Be and try to lure Godzilla into a trap. When the pilots started dying one by one, Haruo ordered Adam to gather six ace pilots for the remaining intact landing craft. Using them, they lured Godzilla into a trap and destroyed the monster. However, it was soon discovered that this was not the same Godzilla that had exiled humanity from Earth, and the original Godzilla appeared, destroying the majority of the landing party with a shock wave. The survivors made contact with a tribe of indigenous people who turned out to be the descendants of those who had remained on the planet. They then discovered the city of Mechagodzilla, but their attempts to fight the monster failed, and the city was destroyed. Adam, having survived, turned to the religion of the Exifs, believing that he had survived by a miracle. He and the other believers offered to help Metphies summon Ghidorah, but during the ritual they were sacrificed to the monster.
