Тэучи's daughter, who works as a waitress at "Ichiraku Ramen". She is a very sociable, hardworking, and cheerful girl with a good sense of humor. At work, she usually wears a chef's coat and a headscarf. Even before Naruto became a hero in the village, she treated him well. Once, she was kidnapped by Hakkaku in order to get the recipe for a special ramen from Tēchi, and he demanded that Tēchi prepare the ramen in a way that would impress his friends. Naruto, Sakura, and Chōji help Tēchi in this difficult task, using ninja techniques. In the end, they win, and it turns out that there is no recipe at all. Upon returning, Ayame had gained a lot of weight, as she had eaten too much of Hakkaku's ramen due to nervousness. Then Tēchi put her on a diet ramen. Soon, Ayame became slim again.
