CUL (pronounced as "Karu" according to Japanese traditions) is the mascot of the VOCALO-revolution show. Her name is an abbreviation of "Culnoza", a joint group led by Hiro-P. On June 8, 2011, YAMAHA announced that CUL could become a real Vocaloid with voice actress Eri Kitamura. The publisher will be INTERNET Co.Ltd. She was introduced in the "CUL Revolution" video. CUL appeared in the show's opening and closing sequences, as well as the music video for "Shiro no Kisetsu" (Japanese for "White Season"). CUL is also the mascot of the official "CUL project" website, which supports the release of the official CUL. Stickers featuring her image have also been released for sale. Later, an MMD model was released, which has been used in her music videos. CUL was created solely as a mascot for the "VOCALO-revolution", and was not initially designed as a Vocaloid. She was initially only meant to represent other female voices in the videos, similar to VY1 Mizki. As the mascot of the VOCALOID revolution, she was created to promote the Vocaloid culture and increase understanding and acceptance of this culture.
