Ицки Такэучи

Takumi Fujiwara's best friend, a member of the Akina Speed Stars team. Brings a touch of comedy to the series thanks to his character. Wanting to be like Takumi, he acquires a Toyota Corolla Levin SR (AE85), mistakenly thinking it's an AE86. Everyone mocks him, claiming that the AE85 is nowhere near as capable as the cars participating in street races, but Takumi gets behind the wheel of the AE85 and proves the opposite. This inspires Iketani, and he promises Takumi that despite the weak performance of his car, he will train and someday match him. Later, he acquires a turbocharger for his AE85.
