Mitsuri Kanroji, 19 years old, is the "Pillar of Love" in the Demon Slayer Corps. She wears a white haori over her standard demon slayer uniform, with a V-neck cut, a skirt, and long green stockings given to her by Obanai Iguro. Mitsuri has light green eyes and long pink hair that fades to green at the ends, braided into three thick braids. Mitsuri is calm and benevolent, treating everyone with love and care. Despite this, she is merciless towards demons, like the other Pillars. She is the only one at the trial who feels pity for Tanjiro and Nezuko and does not wish for their death. Mitsuri's sword is very long, thin, and flexible, resembling a urumi with a single steel blade. Only she can wield it effectively due to her exceptionally flexible body, and her Hinokami Kagura attacks are extremely fast. As a left-handed user, she employs the "Breath of Love," a variant of Kyojuro Rengoku's "Flame Breathing." Mitsuri's muscles are eight times denser than an average person's, granting her immense strength. During joint Pillar training, she is responsible for developing the flexibility of the other demon slayers. Unlike the other Pillars, Mitsuri's family was not affected by demons. From a young age, she displayed unusual strength and a voracious appetite (comparable to three sumo wrestlers). These traits, along with her unusual hair color, deterred potential suitors, so Mitsuri began dyeing her hair black, restricting her food intake, and pretending to be weak. Eventually, she joined the Demon Slayer Corps, hoping to find love, as Kagaya Ubuyashiki accepted her as she was, recognizing her unusual abilities as strengths to be proud of. She became close friends with Obanai, frequently exchanging letters.
