Pokémon trainer from New Bark Town. Her entire family are devoted fans of the Electabuzz baseball team, so she loves Pokémon with a color scheme that matches the team's - yellow with black stripes. Her starting Pokémon was Chikorita, which later evolved into Meganium. Nanako has been compared to Satoshi at the beginning of his journey, but they have completely different training methods and Pokémon preferences. Nanako speaks in the Kansai dialect, which is native to residents of Osaka. Kansai (along with Chubu) is one of the regions of Japan that served as the basis for Johto.
