The bicycle shop salesman first appears when Yotsuba and Yosuke go to buy a bicycle. He gets along well with the girl, helping her choose a better and more comfortable bicycle for a child. At the same time, he helps Yosuke dissuade Yotsuba from wanting to buy an adult bicycle, saying that a license is required for it, which children do not have.
