Момоко, a young woman who aspires to become an illustrator, finds employment at an office specializing in the design of pachinko parlors. The office's impartial yakuza boss overwhelms the protagonist with work, leading her to stay late at the office until midnight. Despite the demanding situation, she continues to shoulder the burden, unable to even return home on time. Amidst the ongoing events, she finds herself questioning, "Why am I here?"
